Streams of Joy 31st May 2025 Devotional (Saturday) Message

SCRIPTURE READING: Judges 16: 1-31
MEMORY VERSE
“O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.” (Psalm 90: 14)
FOCUS VERSE:
“Then his brethren and all the house of his father came down, and took him, and brought him up, and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the buryingplace of Manoah his father. And he judged Israel twenty years.” (Judges 16: 31)
Our Focal Scripture speaks of how the brethren and all the house of Samson’s father came down and took his dead body for burial. These people did not show up when Samson battled for his destiny. They didn’t show up to rescue him when he struggled in the arms of Delilah. They did not come to rescue him while he was in prison. They didn’t rescue him alive. They didn’t come to help him while he lived, but their help came when he died.
Friend, I pray for you: may help not come your way when it is too late. May help not come your way when all is already lost. May help not come your way when the enemy would have achieved what he seeks to achieve against you. May help not come your way when you would have missed out on major opportunities that would have positioned you on higher levels. May help not come your way when your enemies would have prevailed.
Samson suffered like one who had no one to help. He suffered like one who had no family that could turn up for him. He suffered like one who had no defence, but the moment he died, the help he didn’t get in life came his way. Hear me as I hear the Lord: it will never be said that help came your way when you already died. It will never be said that help came when it could no longer make a difference. Help will not come to you late.
Today, I pray for you: may help locate you earlier than expected. Before you call, God will answer. Before you arrive, help will be waiting. Before you have need for help, willing helpers would have been positioned for your good. May God send you help that will come on time. May God send you helpers that will come speedily. May God send you men who will not hesitate to help you when you need it. May God set systems of early help for you.
Welcome to your season of early help. Welcome to that season where help will not come when you have nothing more to gain or lose.
Declaration:
I won’t labour and not be celebrated; my biggest wins will not come in death, in Jesus’ name!
