Streams of Joy 30th May 2025 Devotional (Friday) Message

SCRIPTURE READING: Judges 16: 1-31
MEMORY VERSE
“Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.” (Isaiah 60: 15)
FOCUS VERSE:
“And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life.” (Judges 16: 30)
Our Focal Scripture records that the dead which Samson slew at the time of his death, were more than all which he slew in his life time. Samson was ordained to be a terror to the Philistines; he was raised to kill them; he was raised to wipe them out; and he did a good job of annihilating them while he was alive. Notice however that his greatest hit against the Philistines, happened on the say he died. He killed them all, but was not alive to be celebrated. His greatest win was not celebrated.
Friend, I pray for you: may you never labour and not be celebrated. May it never be said that your biggest win came when you had passed on. May it never be said that you were absent on the day of your biggest celebration. May it never be said that you were unavailable on the day that heaven decided to bring light to your great works. May it never be said that you were not there to be commended for your great exploits.
Samson’s biggest win against the Philistines came too late in his lifetime. His biggest win came in the day of his death. His biggest win came when he could not even notice that he had won. I pray for you: may your biggest win not come in death. May the greatest celebration of your life not come in death. May it never be said that your greatest achievement came when you are not available to be celebrated. May your best not come in death.
I pray for you: let your biggest wins begin. Let your best start to emerge. Let your best results start to emerge. Let your best accomplishments start to emerge. Let the best of your congratulations start to emerge. May your labours connect with your celebrations. May your results connect with your recognition. May you not labour and not be congratulated. May your congratulations not come in death, when you can no longer hear it.
No longer shall it be said that you laboured without being truly celebrated. No longer shall it be said that you got the best results when you could no longer be celebrated.
Declaration:
No matter what happens, I will never forget my purpose and assignment, in Jesus’ name!
