Streams of Joy 26th May 2025 Devotional (Monday) Message

SCRIPTURE READING: Judges 16: 1-31
MEMORY VERSE
“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,” (Ephesians 1: 18)
FOCUS VERSE:
“And Samson said unto the lad that held him by the hand, Suffer me that I may feel the pillars whereupon the house standeth, that I may lean upon them.” (Judges 16: 26)
Our Focal Scripture makes mention of how Samson was led by a lad. Samson had lost his eyes, and he depended on a lad to lead him. He had lost his vision, and he had to be led by a boy who had vision. He had lost the capacity to see where he was going to, and he depended on a boy who could see where he was going to. The moment he lost vision, even a boy could lead him. The moment he lost vision, a boy gave him direction.
Friend, if you ever come to a point of losing your vision, you just might have to depend on a lad to lead you. If you make the mistake of not seeing ahead, you will be led by those who can see ahead. You will become the dependent of those who can see, if you lose capacity to see with the eyes of your inner man. You will be at the mercy of ‘boys’ who can see, if you lose capacity to see. If you fail to see beyond now, you will need those who see.
Samson was ordinarily a great man, of great exploits. He was feared by the Philistines. He was a terror to their nation, but the moment he ceased to see, he became their victim and became dependent on a lad to lead him. The greatness in his yesterday, went into hiding the moment he could no longer see. If you lose your ability to see tomorrow, even the greatness you attained in your yesterday would be in jeopardy.
Ask God to give you seeing eyes. Ask God to give you eyes that see beyond the physical. Ask God to give you eyes that see things before they happen. Ask God to show you what people around you are yet to see. Ask God to open the eyes of your understanding to see where He is taking you to. Ask God to open your eyes to see the traps that are set for you, that you may avoid them. Ask God to open your eyes to see for yourself.
Remember, to lose your vision is to become dependent on those who still have vision. Don’t lose your vision. Don’t lose your seeing eyes.
DECLARATION:
My life will never be an entertainment to the enemy, in Jesus’ name!
