Streams of Joy 26th April 2025 Devotional (Saturday) Message
TOPIC: Not By Baal
SCRIPTURE READING: 1 KINGS 18: 40-46
MEMORY VERSE
“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.” (Psalm 20: 7)
FOCUS VERSE:
“And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there.” (1 Kings 18: 40)
Our Focal Scripture speaks of that moment when Elijah ordered the killing of the four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal. Baal was perceived to be the god of rain; and whenever there was rain in Israel, Baal worshippers believed that it came from Baal. Elijah then decreed that there would be no rain; for three years, there was no rain; Elijah’s proclamation made it obvious that Baal was not really the source of Israel’s rain.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you are about to witness series of events that will prove to you that God Himself is behind the good works in your life. You are about to witness mind blowing miracles that will show you that God Himself gets all the glory in your life. You are about to witness major signs and wonders that will distinguish the hand of the Lord upon your life. You are about to witness evidence of the hand of God on you.
Baal prophets advanced the course of Baal, until Elijah passed a decree, and they could not replicate what they claimed Baal could do. God Himself suspended the rain, and made their seeming control of no effect. God is about to suspend the control of those who are boasting that you cannot make progress without them, in order to show that He is the One in charge of the affairs of your life. God is about to show forth Himself in your life.
No man will take the glory for what God is about to do in your life. No man will take the glory for the doors God is about to open in your life. No system of hell will take the credit for the new season that is set to unfold in your life. When God shows up, He shows off and makes it obvious that He is the One at work in your life. The same way the rain in Israel returned by the word of the Lord, your evidence will come by the word of the Lord.
Welcome to that season where the word of the Lord will birth your evidence. Welcome to that season where no system of hell will take the credit in your life.
DECLARATION:
Where I was pushed out from, the Lord has restored me, in Jesus’ name!
