Streams of Joy 18th April 2025 Devotional (Friday) Message

SCRIPTURE READING: Luke 8:26-39
FOCUS VERSE: “And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.” (Luke 8: 32)
Our Focal Scripture makes mention of how the demons in the demon possessed man sought Jesus’ approval to enter into the herd of swine that was feeding on the mountain. In Leviticus 11 vs. 7, swine were described as being unclean. So, the unclean spirits sought Jesus’ permission to enter into the unclean swine. The unclean spirits sought an alignment with the unclean swine. Unclean spirits gained entry into unclean swine.
Friend, when you make your life unclean, you just might be inviting unclean spirits to come and make their abode with you. When you create an environment that is attractive to the powers of hell, you just might become their host sooner than later. When you make the enemy comfortable in your life, you just might be getting set to receive more spiritual attacks than you imagined. Keeping your life full of sin will bring more unclean spirits to you.
Did you notice that when the unclean spirits asked for Jesus’ permission to invade the unclean swine, Jesus did not hesitate to grant them approval? Their quest to invade an unclean being got speedy approval. If you continually make your life inviting for unclean spirits, do not be surprised when they find space in you frequently. When you make your life more unclean than ever before, you will be tacitly agreeing to demonic invasion.
The will of God for you is not for you to be filled with unclean spirits. The will of God for you is that you be filled with the Holy Ghost, with signs and wonders following you. God’s will is to make your life an extension of heaven’s reign on earth. Jesus never paid the price for you to remain an easy destination for unclean spirits. Now is the time to turn a new leaf and stop looking like the preferred destination that the enemy seeks.
You were wired to be the abode of the King of Kings. You were not redeemed to be the abode of unclean spirits.
John 14: 23 says: “Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”
DECLARATION: My life will not be host to unclean spirits, in Jesus’ name!
