Streams of Joy 15th December 2024 Daily Devotional (Sunday) Message

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Matthew 2
“Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,” (Matthew 2: 1)
When Jesus was born, wise men came from the east to Jerusalem. These wise men were astrologers. They studied stars. They were watchers of time. They were monitoring times and seasons. They observed the change of times and seasons. They read that the season for a new born king had come, and they came and aligned by coming all the way to Jerusalem in search of the king. They understood change of seasons and they aligned.
Friend, seasons are changing; new kings are rising; heaven is unveiling new agenda; and wise men are discerning and aligning. It is important that you become a watcher of time. Discern what heaven is saying at the moment; discern what is top on God’s priority per time; discern what matters and what should not matter per time; discern what is important and what should be unimportant per time; discern times and seasons.
Seasons had changed in Israel, something new had been birthed, a system of hell was about to be toppled and a new system set up, and it was wise men from the east that knew about it. Several people in Jerusalem and Judah were not even aware of what God was up to. Don’t be numbered amongst those who have no idea of what God is doing. Don’t be numbered amongst those who are ignorant of change in times.
Notice that the wise men did not only discern the times and seasons. They came to Jerusalem in search of the new king so that they could bow and worship him. They came to align with the new. As you discern the times and seasons, and as you observe the change in times, align. Align your plans and thoughts and purposes to the unveiled will of God. As you become more aware of what God is doing, align yourself with it.
Remember, wise men understand the times and seasons and they align. Discern the times, discern the seasons, and the most of all, align.
Daniel 2: 21 says: “And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:”
DECLARATION: I discern times and seasons; I align with heaven’s agenda, in Jesus’ name!
