Streams of Joy 11th July 2025 Devotional: CHECK YOUR FOUNDATION

Streams of Joy 11th July 2025 Devotional Message Written By Pastor Jerry Eze

Streams of Joy 11th July 2025 Devotional (Friday) Message

      TOPIC: Check Your Foundation

      SCRIPTURE READING: Luke 13:6-9(KJV)

6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.

7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?

8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:

9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

      MEMORY VERSE
“If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (Psalm 11: 3)

      FOCUS VERSE
“He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.” (Luke 13: 6)

Our Focal Scripture tells the tale of the parable of the fig tree. According to agriculturists, when a fig is about to be attacked, it begins from the roots, as a result of nematodes. When the roots are affected, the tree becomes unfruitful. The roots of a tree are the foundation of the tree; and when the foundation of the fig is affected, it affects its ability to bring forth fruits. The leaves may still be okay, but the fruits will be all gone.

Friend, in seasons when you are not bearing fruits, check your foundation. In seasons when you are not making progress, check your roots. In seasons when your leaves are flourishing but you have no fruits coming from your fig, check the attacks that have come to your foundation. In seasons when you are unable to bring forth results that match with your ‘leaves’, check your foundation. Don’t be deceived by your ‘leaves’.

One significance of the foundation is that it is the part that eyes do not see. The roots of a tree are typically under the soil, whilst the trunk may be clearly seen. Hear me as I hear the Lord: every attack that is coming against you where eyes cannot see, I command it to return to sender. Every attack that wants you stop you from standing firm and standing strong, I decree, it will not prevail. Every attack that wants to make a mess of your roots, and destroy your fruits, I decree, it ends now.

I pray for you: every attack that is destroying your foundation, I reverse it. Your roots will not be consumed. You will not be attacked in the place of your sustenance. You will not be hit in the place where you tap nutrients for your survival. Your roots will stand strong. Your foundation will not be destroyed. Your foundation will be stronger than ever before. Every unseen hand working against you from your foundation, let fire answer.

Your foundation will not be destroyed. Your roots will not be taken down the drains.

      DECLARATION:
If El Roi brought it, Satan will not hijack it, in Jesus’ name!
