TOPIC: The Faithful God
KEY VERSE: “My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.” Psalm 89:34
TEXT: PSALMS 89:33-37
MESSAGE: God is faithful. He is ever true to His word and does what He says. God is moved by His word and not I what you feel. Our feelings change but not the Word of God. Your understanding of this truth will help you to trust in His faithfulness, please Him and have your needs met.
God fulfilled His promise to Abraham by giving him a son. Although Abraham and his wife Sarah had passed the age of giving birth, and it was humanly impossible for them to have a child, God still did it for them because he promised them. After the world was destroyed by flood, God promised that He was not going to destroy the world again by flood and He has kept to His promise, even after thousands of years have passed.
Has God given you a promise? Be assured that God will be faithful and do as He says on the condition that you obey Him and do what He requires of you. Now that you have seen that God is ever faithful to His word, put the knowledge to use by believing His word, obeying them and praying to Him with full assurance that He will do just as He has promised.
PRAYER: Dear Father, help me to always believe Your word and trust You with all my heart.
