THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The struggle to know God will end all other struggles of life.
Seeds of Destiny Daily Devotional 23 May 2024 – SOD MESSAGE:
There was a time when my wife and I went on a journey to see a particular man of God. We travelled all the way, but we couldn’t see the man. Now, it was not as if we were failing at that point in our ministry. No! God was already helping us in ministry. I looked for this man, not because I wanted money from him. The man of God carried a dimension of grace, and I wanted to connect. And the person who was to link us up to this man of God didn’t do as expected, for some reasons best known to him. And I felt somehow disappointed.
On my way back, God told me, “What you are looking for is not with the man; it is with me. Link up with me and I can link you up with any man on earth if necessary.” This word from God changed my mentality. I got home with my wife with more desperation to look for God. Do you know what happened? As I pressed deeper into God, I found what I was looking for.
One day, I was in my office at the Dunamis church in Area 1 then, and someone walked into my office and told me that some people were looking for me. And when I asked who the person was, I was made to know that it was the same man of God I was looking for some years earlier, the same man I was deprived of seeing, that sent some people to look for me. He sent them to invite me for a program in his country. He was trying to find out if I had the chance to come.
I spoke with him on phone through the people he sent, and he was delighted to hear from me. He said he wanted to meet me in person, and that he had heard many things about me. I flew all the way to that country. I was originally meant to preach for a day or two, but it exceeded because they wanted me to preach in more sessions. I will never forget that lesson for ever.
The lesson here is, just struggle to know God. The struggle to know God will end all other struggles of life.

1. Make up your mind to know God by spending time in prayer and the Word.
2. Ask God to reveal Himself to you.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive the passion and grace to pursue You. Reveal Yourself to me Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
