Seeds of Destiny 6th December 2025 | SOD DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE
It has been confirmed that the Word of God is a critical necessity in the life of every child of God. No wonder, Mathew 4:4 says, But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. So, the life of man is at risk where the Word of God is absent.
Today, we shall be exploring some of the assignments of the Word of God in the life of the child of God. When the Word of God is preached, taught or studied, what is its assignment?
1. The Word brings healing (Psalm 107:20). Healing is guaranteed when the Word of God is engaged.
2. The word brings deliverance (Psalm 107:20, Psalm 105:17). When the Word comes, chains and strongholds are broken, and deliverance is released.
3. The Word brings breakthrough (Luke 5:4-6). When you find yourself at a junction of life where it looks like nothing is working, engage the Word.
4. The Word brings health (Proverbs 4:20 to 22). The Word of God is life unto them that find it, and health to all their flesh. Many people have received their healing as they listened to the Word of God.
5. The Word brings life (John 6:63). The Word of God is a life giver. If there is anything that is not working around you, any dead situation, the word can inject life into it.
6. The Word brings joy (Psalm 119:162, Jeremiah 15-16). We live in a highly challenged and depressed world; it takes engaging the Ministry of the Word to stay joyful.
7. The Word brings peace (Psalm 85:8). In case you are in the midst of a battle or crisis, it is the Word of God that guarantees your peace.
Now, how do you benefit from the Ministry of the Word?
1. Receive the Word with an open heart (Acts 17:11). Don’t ever say, ‘I have heard it before.’
2. Never give up on the Word until results come. Hebrews 6:12 says, That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. The promises of the Word are inheritable by the combination of faith and patience (Job 14:14).
Remember this: When the Word comes, chains and strongholds are broken, and deliverance is released.
ASSIGNMENT (S):
1. Study the Word daily and anticipate the fulfilment of the Ministry of the Word in your life.
2. Ask God to release to you every benefit of His Word needed in your life whenever you study the scripture.
PRAYER: Lord, thank You for Your sent Word in my life. I receive every benefit of the Word as I as listen, read or study Your Word, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
