SCRIPTURE: So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom. And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart. 1 Kings 10:23-24.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Commitment to the spread of the word of God is a key to accessing the Blessing of God.

Those who preach the Word of God are blessed. People who engage in evangelism by spreading the Word of God cannot escape the Blessing. Commitment to the spread of the Word of God is a major key to accessing the Blessing of God. Solomon spread the Word through the release of the wisdom that God placed in his heart, and as a result, he was abundantly blessed.
1 Kings 10:23-25 says, So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom. And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart. And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and armor, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.
The wisdom which God put in the heart of Solomon was the Word of God. Jesus Christ says in Matthew 7:24, Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock.
The Word of God is the wisdom of God. The wisdom that God placed in the heart of Solomon was the Word of God. Solomon was literally spreading the Word of God whenever he uttered words of wisdom. Remember, the Word of God is the same as the Wisdom of God (Luke 11:49).
One is right to say that Solomon was both an evangelist and a teacher of the Word in addition to being a king. How could such a person be poor? Beloved, the way of spreading the Word is the way of the Blessing. To spread the Word is to provoke the release of the Blessing.
Remember this: Commitment to the spread of the word of God is a key to accessing the Blessing of God.

- Be consistent in spreading and preaching the word.
- Maintain an upright lifestyle; live by the upright standard of the Word you preach.
PRAYER: Father, I receive fresh grace to preach and spread Your Word. Help me to live an upright life in accordance with the dictates of the Word, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
