Scripture Union Daily Guide 28th February 2025 OUTLINE
The disciples set a good example worthy of emulation in Matthew 13:10. Notice the distinction between the way Jesus responded to them compared to the way he addressed the masses (Matthew 13:11-12). Can you say with confidence that the secrets of the kingdom have been given to you?
The more we interact with the world around us, the more we see how shallow people can be in their knowledge of the Bible, even in the pulpit. To guard against this tendency, we must take our daily meditation on the Bible (our Quiet Time) more seriously. We must also refuse to swallow without question every message we hear from our pulpit. Like the disciples, we must ask our ministers questions especially when what they teach is not clear.
Also, participation in group Bible study gives us the opportunity to discuss, ask questions and thus grow into maturity (1 Corinthians 14:20).
The way we respond to God’s word determines what we get from it. If we diligently seek God’s truth and engage all our senses, our eyes, our ears, and our mental capacity, we will be blessed by God’s word while the slothful critics will become more and more confused (Matthew 13:13-16).
And So:
Blessings of God are packed in God’s word. Those who seek Him in His Word will inherit His blessings.

* His unfailing grace that is sustaining the church, nation and the union and his faithfulness in bringing us to the end of this month.
PRAY FOR:
* And bring repentance on behalf of yourself and the nation; leaders and the church, ask for forgiveness, healing and restoration. • Spiritual revival of the church; the leadership and the congregations. • The Spirit of the Lord to rest upon the leadership of the Ministry; the Spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. • Grace and strength to wait on the Lord and for more grace to trust in the infinite love, wisdom and power of God and in the reality of his promises
