TOPIC: No condemnation
OPENING PRAYER: May the meditation of my heart be acceptable unto you, O Lord as I read from your word.
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Romans 8:1 – 8
QUESTION FOR REFLECTION
• Q 7: What truth is God revealing to me in this passage?
MESSAGE: Note those who are free from condemnation and the reason for this freedom in vs.1-3. “In Christ” means we submit totally and hand over the driver’s seat of our lives to Christ. We do that because we know it is only in Him that we can overcome sin and death. God in His wisdom and love became one of us and lived among us to take upon Himself the punishment due to us sinful human beings. Through His death, we have fulfilled the demands of the Law fully. We are saved by God’s grace and are now under the control of His Spirit.
Notice that life’s battle is fought in the mind. What we set our mind upon is what controls our lives and our destiny, our end. Being controlled by our natural instincts leads to death because it leads to sin and thus separation from God, which is the real death. But to subject ourselves to the control of God’s Spirit leads to holiness and continued fellowship with God, which is true life. How do we please God (vs.7-8)?
PRACTICE/WORD APPLICATION
So what? Be silent before the Lord and pray that the Holy Spirit transforms your life and renews you through His word.

THANK GOD FOR:
► The Brethren both within and without SU that He has been using to finance the work in SU.
► The Godly businesses our brethren are involved with.
PRAY FOR:
► The wisdom of God to make wealth and the prosperity of the businesses of our financiers.
► Increased giving to enable us complete some of the abandoned projects in all the Region, Areas, Zones and Groups.
► Spiritual growth and good health and the continuity in our faith as we go on with our businesses.
► SUCF online leadership training that starts from 26th – 28th May.
► Pilgrims, Children, Missions and schools ToT that starts from 26th – 29th May.
PRAY AGAINST:
► Greedy obsession with money that may want to replace our love for God.
► Outstanding debts and uncompleted projects that may not speak good of our work in SU.
