How do you see the woman’s loving invitation of her man to a serene garden of flowers and fruits (7:10-13)? The willingness and preparedness she has for her husband to relate with her in sexual intimacy shows how she celebrates her spouse through full acceptance. No woman would like the man she truly loves to do a shameful thing.
What benefit does the Church derive from inviting Jesus Christ to dwell and reign in the hearts of individual members? (John 1:12; Ephesians 5:23-27).
Read 8:1-4 again. Preserving her virginity during an exciting courtship is what the young woman cherishes as also supported by her brothers (8:8-9). What a beautiful upbringing! This is in honour of the man she loves. Therefore, she resists sex before marriage (even when of a marriageable age (v.9) but believes favour would talk for her before any man when her time comes (v.10). Young people must strive, in Christ, to conduct themselves pure in courtship, devoid of fornication.

So what? Do not awaken love until the right time and place!

Thank you Lord, for the grace to love. Help me to be more committed to those who love me.

• His provision for the ongoing Regional Staff quarters project in the Region.
PRAY FOR:
• Financial provision to complete this project
• God to provide for those who have pledged and those who are burdened for the work to experience His divine intervention
• Grace upon the workers on site to observe every safety measure
PRAY AGAINST:
• The Sanballats and Tobiahs working against this project.
