OPENING PRAYER: Dear Lord, may the entrance of your word bring light and life to all I will do today.

SCRIPTURE: Revelation 4:1‐11

Scripture Union Daily Guide 25 August 2022 MESSAGE

Take a careful note of the transition that happens as we move from letters to the seven churches on earth in the previous chapters, to the heavenly scene in chapter 4. Have you ever asked yourself the life reflective question, “What will happen hereafter?” (v.1, KJV). Imagine this passage as window into heaven and look carefully through it – what do you see for yourself? Make a list of them.

Heaven is not imaginary, heaven is real. – the throne and the one seated on it; the beauty and majesty of the throne, the twenty‐four thrones and those seated on them. Notice how they are dressed. V.5 should remind us of what the people of Israel saw on Mount Sinai when God descended on it. See Exodus 19:16. Note the presence of the Holy Spirit (v.5). Finally, try to imagine the four living creatures.

What would you suggest they represent? The four living creatures and the twenty‐four elders worship God. They proclaim His holiness and eternal existence. They also proclaim His glory and honour and power. In worshipping God, they fall before Him and lay their crowns before the throne!

PRAY FOR:
☛ The conference that everything that will be done there will be according to God’ s approval.
☛ The resource persons, Bible study, the band, our Faithful sister in the Kitchen and every participant that the Lord will help them to be in tune with him.
☛ Brethren to come in faith and confidence as we continue in fellowship with our Father.

PRAY AGAINST:
⚠ Acts, action and reactions that will go contrary to God’s plan.
⚠ The brethren moving around instead of staying quiet at the feet of the Master to learn.
