Continuing his message to the crowd, Peter affirmed some fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith to prove that Jesus was indeed the Messiah and the one in whom we should believe to be saved (v.36). Read vs.22-24 again. What truths about Christ’s death and resurrection can you see in the verses?
Peter proved that Jesus truly died. He was crucified by the Jews. But Jesus did not die by the will of men. He died according to God’s eternal purpose and foreknowledge to purchase our salvation (see John 10:17-18). Jesus also resurrected from the dead, in fulfilment of biblical prophecy given long ago by David (vs.24-28; cf. Psalm 16:8-11). What other proofs did Peter give to drive home his argument in vs.31-35?
Peter’s message was based on both scriptural and historical facts that were well known to his audience, (the arrest, crucifixion and resurrection of Christ was less than two months at this time) which if they weren’t true could have easily been refuted by the audience.) What can we learn from Peter as we seek to proclaim the Lordship of Christ to our generation?

So what? To be an effective witness for Christ, apart from having a personal encounter with Him, you also need to know what the Bible says about the Gospel (2 Timothy 2:15).

PRAY FOR:
* That there shall be a spiritual revolution in our school system among the teachers and children
* Joy of learning to be restored to students who are discouraged by their progress
* The lord will raise a new generation of dedicated educators who will commit themselves to an honest and accurate presentation of subject matter, and also serve as role models to the students
* The Lord to make classrooms into places where there is delight in learning instead of drudgery or dread
PRAY AGAINST:
* Ungodly policies targeted at breeding religious influences detrimental to our faith.
