OPENING PRAYER: My dear heavenly Father, as I study your word, let it be a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Psalms 93:1-5

Scripture Union Daily Guide 1st May 2025 OUTLINE:
Indeed, how majestic, how mighty, and how powerful is our God! Nothing compares with Him in all the earth because He is its Maker. We serve the God who is altogether powerful. Notice the timelessness of His reign (Psalms 93:2). It precedes the creation. He is God and King from eternity to eternity. The “seas” often represent the forces of disorder. They symbolise the prehistoric chaotic waters that Genesis describes as the water-logged deep (over which darkness hovered) but which God, by His creative word, tamed and limited to its assigned place (Genesis 1:2,9-10). Our God is holy and morally perfect, so He demands that we also must be holy (Leviticus 19:1,2).
How should we respond to such a call from our God? Most African countries south of the Sahara claim to be above 70% Christian and yet crime and corruption abound. What must Christians in these countries do to live true to their claims? Invite some Christians in your community and debate whether it is good for believers to become political leaders who make the world fear God.
And So:
In your notebook write down some godly attributes that we must strive to show in our character.

Bow down and worship the Almighty God, the ruler over the entire universe.

PRAY FOR:
* The success of the training that will be holding from 1-4 of this Month. • The safety and good health of all training staff throughout and after the training period. • The availability, wiliness and readiness of the worker for the training
PRAY AGAINST:
* Any and all forms of hindrance to the success of the training.
