The numbering of the Israelites and the Levites is completed here. It was a long period of careful enumeration, recording and assignments. Here Moses, Aaron and the leaders finally took record of the total number of Levites in their clans that regularly served in the tabernacle.
While the census of the other tribes was mainly for the battles ahead of the nation, that of the Levites was for essential spiritual backup for the nation. Without the nation being in tune with their God, the fighters cannot succeed on the battlefield.
Notice the recurring statement in Numbers 4:37,41,45,49. What we will consider ordinary census had to be done as and only when specified by God. When not done that way, there is serious consequence (see the example of David’s in 2 Samuel 24:1-17).
Good record keeping, accountability and reward for good performance are regular features in profitable companies. God equally knows and keeps record of every man and his works. At the end of life on earth, He shall reward every man according to his works. Read Revelation 20:12,22:12. Each of us has his records before God and shall at the end of life, give account of himself to God.

Pray for our nation Nigeria, that God will restore us. Pray against every manipulation of the devil over the leadership of the country. Pray for the salvation of our leaders
Offer a prayer of faith in line with: Jeremiah 17:7-8
CLOSING PRAYER: Whatever assignment you give me, dear Lord, grant me grace to apply myself diligently to it, doing it strictly in accordance with your command.
