Scripture Union Daily Guide 18 April 2022 MESSAGE
It seems like these two disciples had called it quit and were going back home, but Love that would not let them go drew near. Have you come to some dead end, not knowing what to do next? Wait for the Lord a little bit longer. Do not give up yet. You will soon hear His voice saying to you, “This is the way, walk in it!” (Isaiah 30:20,21).
Note that, “the things concerning Himself,” which Jesus explained, begins with Moses and runs through the prophets. We will be very poor New Testament Christians indeed if we neglect our study of the Old Testament.
We pick two essential marks of a Christian from the passage. First is a passionate love for the word of God and for the messenger of the word. This is what led the two disciples to invite a complete stranger to spend the night with them. The second is a desire to share the good news with others.
The great commission to make disciples of all nations is for all believers. Note also the power of God’s Word as it burns in the heart of the believer (v.32). See also Hebrews 4:12?
Practice/Word Application
And so? Sing in praise of the Lord: He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today He walks with me and talks with me, along the narrow way! He lives, He lives, salvation to impart You ask me how I know He lives, He lives within my heart. (SU Chorus)

• Father, help me to be sensitive spiritually, I pray against spirit blindness, deafness and dumbness.

THANK GOD FOR:
› His protection and provisions of finance for the work of Port‐Harcourt Region.
› The success recorded in the children Ministry within the Port Harcourt Region despite the challenges and oppositions.
PRAY FOR:
› Port Harcourt Regional Chairman Engr. Roberts Eke and His team that God will help them drive their vision “ Christ focus, value driven, outcome based.
› Willingness on the part of the brethren to continue to provide finance and be involved in children’s work.
› Unemployed brethren in the Region that God will give than favour in getting jobs or be involved in businesses or to get skilled.
› The Regional Coordinator, Bro Patrick Okohn for more of God’s of grace and the manifestation of God’s Spirit in him as he pilots the affairs of SU Ministry in the Region.
PRAY AGAINST:
∷ All forms of spiritual forces contending against the progress of the work in the Region.
∷ Weaknesses and lack of zeal among brethren that may hinder the progress or the work in Region.
