Reflection
• Is there any example for me to follow or not to follow?
• What is God revealing to me in this passage?
Paul is never tired of sharing his testimony. It is the validation of his ministry. The full account of how he encountered Christ is found in Acts 9:1–31. (Find time to read it.) Paul had been zealous in keeping the Jewish law and in persecuting those who believed in the gospel. He had worked very hard trying to earn salvation, but it led him nowhere until he turned to the gospel. So, Paul was convinced about his message both from his personal experience and the knowledge of its source (see vv.11–12). Notice also the steps he took in v.18. What do you think was the purpose of this visit? What lessons do you learn from this concerning your personal growth and development? Notice Paul’s lovely testimony in vv.23–24. Has your conversion made any noticeable change to your way of life? Are there other people, therefore, glorifying God because of you?
