TOPIC: Not Easily Broken
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

Little Penny held onto the one thing she owned; a white cord. She was thin and dirty like the other children at the orphanage, and she clutched her frayed scrap of ribbon as though it were the most important thing in the world. This baby girl had barely survived the hurricane disasters – but God was with Penny and the other children in this orphanage.

These children in the orphanages own nothing but the clothes on their backs… and Penny’s precious strand of cord that had once held her hair. When I saw her guarding her frayed cord, I couldn’t help but recall the scripture in Ecclesiastes about
the cord of three strands.
Penny and thousands of other orphans like her lack so many basics that most of us take for granted.
All around the world thousands of orphans like Penny are waiting for someone to care—for someone to offer them hope. What these children need is a cord of three stands…a partnership between you, me, and our Heavenly Father…a partnership that will offer hope and a future…a partnership that is not easily broken.
Father, I know that if you are with me I will not be easily broken or undone. I pray that you strengthen my relationship between you, me, the Holy Spirit, and this partnership with Breakthrough so that we can bring your kingdom to this earth and offer your hope to everyone.
