TOPIC: Time to go Out
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. – Matthew 28:19-20
The commandment that Jesus gave to His disciples is an urgent call to all born-again believers.
As we start this New Year, let us be reminded that we are in the last days of our time on Earth, and the Kingdom of God is at hand. As born-again believers, this is wonderful news! It means that we don’t have to wait long until that glorious day when we will see God and walk Heaven’s streets of gold.
It also means that our time is growing short to act on Jesus’ commandment, to “make disciples of all nations.” We cannot delay any longer. There are too many at risk of dying without knowing Jesus!
No longer can we just “sit” within the walls of the church on Sunday mornings—we must step out in faith and spread the Gospel message to a generation of lost souls! Our job as believers is not to stay in, but to go out to a lost and hurting world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ! We can go out in confidence, knowing that God’s Holy Spirit will always be with us, empowering our every move.
Dear Lord, I understand your commandment, I understand you are calling me to go out and preach the good news of Your kingdom to everyone. Allow me to fulfill your will and not mine in this new year and the years to come.
