TOPIC: God Cares for You
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” – John 10:10
People often blame God when bad things happen. A hurricane or a tornado occurs and it’s called “an act of God.” An innocent person dies and people ask, “Why would God let this happen?”
Our society has given God a bad name He doesn’t deserve.
Get this truth in your spirit: God is a good God. He cares for you. God isn’t waiting to hurl lightning bolts at you whenever you make a mistake. Instead, God tells us to cast all our cares upon Him, because He cares for us. God is full of blessing, mercy, abundance, strength, healing, victory and security. He sent His Son to die so we might have eternal life with Him!
Satan is the one that wants to harm you. Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy—but Jesus says, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10). The cross stands as your memorial that God wants to make peace with you. He wants to save you. One of the key provisions through Calvary is healing for our physical bodies. “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree…by his wounds you have been healed” (1 Peter 2:24).
Remember that Satan is the cause of pain on this Earth; not God. God wants you to prosper and live in abundance. Whenever you are faced with opposition, remember that God is always on your side.
Thank you, Lord, for being by my side and with me always. I know you are a good father, and you give good things to your children. I know that you are only capable of good. Holy Spirit remind me of God’s goodness in my life and let me keep it in the forefront of my mind every day. Amen.
