TOPIC: Authority to Heal
He called His twelve disciples to Him and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. – Matthew 10:1
Years ago, my mother had breast cancer. The doctors told her, “We’re going to have to remove your breasts.” She replied, “I’m going to hear my son preach in South Bend, Indiana, first. If I have cancer when I get back to Columbus, you can do the surgery.”

I am not against doctors. I have used doctors myself. I believe doctors are a gift from God. One of the disciples, Luke, was a physician. I am just sharing with you what happened to my mother.
When my mother went to the conference, Dr. Lester Sumrall, T.L. Osborn and I prayed for her and laid hands on her. There was a doctor in the congregation who told my mother, “You must go back to the doctor today. God has healed you.” My mother went to the doctor, they did the exam and there was no cancer. Then the doctor in Columbus did another exam, and there still was no cancer. The cancer never came back.
Jesus, thank You for the delegated authority You have given us over unclean spirits and to heal sickness and disease.
