TOPIC: Three Reasons Budgets Fail

There are three reasons why your budget may not work:
1) When you create your budget, you leave things out, such as cosmetics or hobbies. It is imperative that you start keeping receipts and keep a record of every expenditure to learn where your money is being spent.
2) You overcomplicate your budget. Keep it simple by starting with one page.
3) You don’t live according to the budget you’ve created. Developing the math for your budget is not the most important thing; your behavior is the most important thing. Self-denial and self-control are paramount.
If you watch out for these pitfalls, you will be able to stick with your budget and change the way you view money, and you will begin to make money work for you instead of you working for money.
Holy Spirit, help me change my behavior regarding spending.
