TOPIC: Shavuot Ends at Sundown
‘In the last days it shall be,’ says God, ‘that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh…’
– Acts 2:17a
This evening at sundown marks the close of Shavuot, the Festival of Weeks. Corporately, we have celebrated when God gave the Ten Commandments (Torah) at Mount Sinai 50 days after the first Passover and when He then wrote those Commandments on our hearts by pouring out His Holy Spirit 50 days after Jesus was crucified on Passover.
Now we can individually continue in the anointing of the Holy Spirit, filled with His fruit (His character) and His gifts (His power). For believers in Christ, it is not the end of the celebration. We are just beginning.
Make each day count. Every day we walk with Jesus, filled with His life-giving Spirit, it is a celebration! Renew us today, Holy Spirit, so that we can continue in your refreshing, giving glory to Almighty God for His many great and wonderful gifts!
Holy Spirit, thank You for a life filled with celebration!
