TOPIC: A Day with Joni ~ My Will vs. His Will
Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things have passed away. Look, all things have become new. – 2 Corinthians 5:17
It’s the epic battle of human history – man’s will versus God’s will. Let me ask you, Is your will David or Goliath?

The battle of wills is ongoing. In our humanness, we want what we want, and we want it now! Waaaahhh! We don’t want to wait on the Lord. We want answers, blessings, and miracles like pulling up to a drive-through window. We want to have it our way!
It’s human nature, but when we were born again, we were given a new nature – we were given His nature.
Our nature, the nature of self, has its own voice and will – this is what scripture refers to as the old things passed away. Behold the fresh and new you has come! It really is that simple. Stop wearing those old clothes! You’ve been given fresh, new garments!
You make all things new – including my voice and my will. Father, help me to put off the old and to put on the new life and light You’ve provided. Help me reckon the old rubble, and the new, my garments of praise. In Jesus’ name.
