There was none like Jesus. How was He different?
He that ascended is also He that first descended (Ephesians 4:9). For three days following, Jesus was on a mission in the dark reaches of the underworld. He stopped by Abraham’s bosom and preached the message of His life, death and impending resurrection. He revealed His purpose for coming to the earth: to destroy the works of the devil.
Jesus then waded through the ashes of by-gone millennia of time. He plundered the corridors of the doomed and the damned. He grabbed the devil by the nape of the neck and took away the keys of death, hell and the grave. Finally, He tore death’s dark veil asunder!
Jesus delivered you from this body of death (Romans 7:24). Now the law of life in Christ Jesus has made you free from the law of sin of sin and death (Romans 8:2)!
Jesus, You are the Firstborn from the dead!
