DAILY BIBLE READING: Genesis 16-18
TEXT: “And they journeyed: and the terror of God was upon the cities that were round about them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob.” – Genesis 35 :5.

From the scriptural passage above, the first thing that comes to mind is that they journeyed; they moved forward. They advanced to their destination. They were not stagnant, limited or stopped, they progressed as the children of God ought to as spelt out in Proverbs 4: 18; “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” That is why child of God, you must refuse to be stagnant in life, you must advance progressively to your destiny as God ordained it.
No gate of hell is permitted to stop or limit you . If they dare it, it is either they evaporate, vanish or become plain. The Bible says, “Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shouting, crying, Grace, grace unto it. Zech. 4 :7.
The enemy is always out to stampede the progress and of the children of God, but he can only succeed in the lives of those who do not know their privileges and authority as children of God.
Whoever carries divine presence and is conscious of it is a threat to the enemy. When the children of Israel went out of Egypt with the presence of God in their midst, every opposition before them gave way. The mountains skipped like rams and the little hills like lambs. (Psalm 114 :4) They went on unhindered because of the presence of God.
Child of God, you belong to the same lineage of progress, so move forward this day. No gate of hell can hinder you.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I advance into my destiny. No more stagnation in my life..
