TOPIC: Who Is Your Company? (2)
DAILY BIBLE READING: Isaiah 36-38
TEXT: “Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananaiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions: That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret.. Daniel 2 :17 — 18.
Rhema For Living 5 September 2022 MESSAGE
In 2 Corinthians 6 :14; God gave a command not to be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. So having an unbeliever as your company is completely ruled out from teaching. The focus is on believer, among which there are right ones and wrong ones. 2Timothy 2 :20; spelt this out, “But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and of earth and some to honor and some to dishonor.”
The company of a believer should be like minded person with certain kingdom principles which binds them together. These principles governs other related principles of life which they also agree to a large extent on.
How can a believer keep company with someone who always downplays prayers, fasting and giving? How can a believer’s company always suggest solutions outside God to him?
Daniel in our text of emphasis had great kingdom minded friends who right from chapter one of the book of Daniel revealed themselves as children of God indeed. They also did not defy themselves with the portion of the king’s drink and meat as Daniel. At the end of the exercise, when they were brought before the king, and he communed with them, he found none like Daniel and his friends.
They all stood out.
When Daniel came to his companions, to join him to engage in the ever potent solution to the problem of life, they joined him and prayed to God the problem solver, and the secret was revealed to Daniel in the night vision. Vs 18 –19.
You can soar higher in life with the right company.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me Lord to keep the right company
