TEXT: “And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.” Acts 4 :23.
Rhema For Living 4 September 2022 OFM MESSAGE
Your company determines what accompanies you in life, it determines your rating before men. You cannot keep company with a fraudster and expects to be trusted. Your associates cannot be liars and you expect people with reasonable mind to call on you for the truth. Your company determines what you will end up becoming.
Your company determines what you will pursue, love or hate, what principles and values of life you will adopt.
In the scenario of our anchor text, after Peter and John were let go by those who threatened them not to speak in the name of the Lord, they went to their company, the company of believers and reported the matter to them.
There are some matters you can cannot address alone as a child of God. You need the right company to join you to address them. Scripture says, “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” Matthew 18 :20.
In Matthew 18 :19; it says, “Again I say unto you that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven”.
And in Ecclesiastes 4 :9; it says, “Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their labour”.
Peter and John had the right company of believers by their act you will see so. Scripture says, “And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord…” Acts 4:24. They engaged in prayer to overcome the challenge.
The right company will always apply God’s principle to overcome the issues of life.
The right company will not lead you away from the wisdom of God. Rather they propel you by joining forces with you in doing them.
Child of God, who is your company? Your company determines your end.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me Lord to have the right company. In Jesus Mighty Name.
