Despise Naaman’s Gift
by Apostle (Prof.) Johnson Suleman
BIBLE READING:Â Leviticus 5-6
TEXT: “But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold, my master hath spared Naaman this Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought: but, as the LORD liveth, I will run after him, and take somewhat of him.” – 2 Kings 5 :20.
Rhema for Living 5 February 2022 Devotional MESSAGE
The crave for materialism has eaten so deep into the body of Christ to the extent that several do not care if their actions are just or not so long as it brings financial and material returns to them. What joy do you have if what you got is at the detriment of another? Every act of unrighteousness has repercussions.
What God does not approve should not be engaged in by you. What is not yours should not even catch your attention; that is how the spirit of greed and materialism comes in.
Whatever thing financial or materil that is not on line with the counsel of God is Naaman’s gift and should be despised by you if you want to end well in life. There is divine timing for every blessing of God to manifest in your life, just be faithful in service obeying God’s command in every aspect of life. To try to cut corners, is to cut your life short your destiny. In case you do not know, Naaman’s gift has more to it than its physical appearance.
At the root, is satan, the master planner of evil aimed at taking you out of the path of righteousness to hell with him. In Naaman’s gift is leprosy, a condition that puts a stigma on your destiny. Naaman’s gift presents a choice for the unrighteous mammon trading the true riches which is your inheritance. In other words, anytime you go for Naaman’s gift there is a portion of your inheritance that you exchanged for it.
This is what every act of sin does. That is why when one realizes oneself and repents, what one is supposed to get within a year, is now delayed because one has traded it to the devil, only God’s mercy restores it.
Be wise!
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I receive fresh grace to despise Naaman’s gift.
