Rhema For Living 4 December 2022 OFM Devotional MESSAGE
Great men are not special men. Great men are men with direction, the secret key of champions. People that stand out in their generation are people that hear God. “If you hear His command, you will be in demand.” Those who hear heavenly command are always in earthly demand. I came to Auchi by the word of God. I came by direction at a time when most people were running to Abuja, Port-Harcourt and Lagos to start off ministry.
But God told me to leave Lagos, and I obeyed. Men of direction move in some dimensions that do not make sense. Any man that walks in God’s direction is a wonder to his generation. When he hears God, he does not consider flesh and blood as Apostle Paul declared in Galatians 1 :15 – 16.
In Kings 17; there was famine in the land and God spoke to Elijah asking him to go to Zarephath that He has commanded a widow to feed him.
Zarephath means ‘to hold back’ and a widow is one who has lost her husband. In other words, God sent His servant to a woman who needs help in a city where they hold back; a place where they do not give to go and collect. And since he was directed, as soon as he got there, he spoke what he heard. The widow in verse 12; said all she had was for her son and her to eat and die.
But when she handed it over to Elijah, the bible says, “And she and her household did eat many days” vs 15.
When she was in lack, it was only her son she had; but when plenty came, household came, people began to identify with her. Truly, failure is an orphan, while prosperity has many relatives.
I pray for you, by reason of what God will do your life, all those who left you, will come back to you.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I key in to divine direction.
