BIBLE READING: 1 Corinthians 6-10
TEXT: “The other disciples therefore said unto him, we have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe” – John 20 :25.
Every encounter births another encounter. Encounter is progressive. For the past six (6) days we have being talking about encounter. Most times, because some people lack encounter they can easily be swayed to and fro 1 Kings 18 :21.
Child of God, you need to have something tangible in your walk with God, something you can answer when you are rebuked Habakkuk 2 :2.

Thomas refused to believe in the resurrection and appearance of Jesus to the disciples until he had a personal encounter himself. He wanted his own personal, face to face encounter with Jesus not what the other disciples told him. Do you know God for yourself? What do you have to share about your salvation experience or walk with him? We have heard the testimonies of people around us but it is very important that we have our own personal experience.
Foundational encounter are the foundation or the realm on which other encounters are build on. Before you encounter God through the audible voice of God, his awesome presence in bodily form, angels appearing to you, through trance, vision or dreams, you must encounter the Son of God, that is being born again. Encounter with the Person of the Holy Spirit is more than praying in tongues, It is walking with the Holy Spirit.
These encounters will be a drive which will fuel your passion for your assignment. And every encounter must submit to scripture. Every encounter must be looked at with scriptural lens. “IT IS WRITTEN.”
