Do Your Business (2)

BIBLE READING:Â Numbers 34-36
TEXT: “And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you.” – 1 Thessalonians 4 :11.
In continuation of our topic ‘Do Your Business’ which we started yesterday, we want to look at other things that our anchor scripture counsels we do if we want to accomplish great things in life.
The next thing is Do Your Own Business. Several persons are busy but not effective. Effectiveness is a function of your input in your business. God will not judge or access you on another man’s business but in that which He has committed into your hands.
Some persons waste efforts on other people’s affair while theirs suffers. Some leave their businesses attending all social functions in town.
God’s counsel for you today is to do your own business. There are many things and ideas that you can bring into that assignment if you can focus on it. There are too many busybodies in the body of Christ. It is time to make a change.
The third thing is Work With Your Own Hands. There is a place for your physical input if you will make headway in life and destiny. Slothfulness skills business, it destroys. “By much Slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through.” Eccl. 10 :18; “The fool foldeth his hands together, and eateth his own flesh.” Eccl. 4 :5.
God promised to bless the works of your hands (PSA.1 :3), and for that to happen, scripture counsels, “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave…” Eccl. 9 :10.
I pray for you, by this counsel, you will visible progress in life.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I receive fresh grace to do my own business, in Jesus name.
