TEXT: “ Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him. But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;” Matthew 12 :14 – 15.
Rhema For Living 20 September 2022 MESSAGE
In the package of divine escape, sensitivity to the leading of the Spirit is paramount. There are times He tells you to withdraw. You must be current with Him, assumption is risky. It is the application of His wisdom as He leads that preserves, prolongs your days and disarms your adversaries.
From our text we realize Jesus got to know of the plot of the Pharisees against him and he withdrew Himself from there.
You may be asking within you, why did Jesus the son of God have to leave that place? Why did he not call down fire or do something as the son of God to destroy them?
Hear this, the battles of life are won according to the instructions of the Spirit, not by might nor power but by my Spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. (Zach.4 :6) it is not that Jesus cannot call down fire or confront them, but that is not the counsel of God for Him at that time.
Not all battles of life are won by physical confrontation, some are avoided and the enemies frustrated when you have a foreknowledge of them. As I always say, “Lead is not into temptation is better than deliver us from evil”. Some battles are won by being silent, while some by being loud according to the leading of the Spirit of God. Rom.8 :14.
The wisdom Jesus applied made Him avoid every form of confrontation and he thwarted the plot of the enemy. It did not affect His ministry because it was from above. Even when He withdrew, He still had great multitude followed Him and He healed them all.
I pray for you, you will not be a victim of wickedness .
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, the grace to be sensitive to your leading at all times rest on me by fire.
