Rhema for Living 20 March 2022 Devotional MESSAGE
Who you meet determines what meets you in this life. Until you meet the man carrying your favour, you may continue to labour. In Luke chapter 5, Simon had encounter with Jesus and his story of labour changed to favour.
When Jesus asked him to launch out his net into the deep, he said to Jesus, “Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing…” They had laboured to a point that they were about given up. At that point, they did not believe that anything good could happen again. But thank God Simon was sensitive enough to obey the command of Jesus.
He did not allow discouragement stop him from trying one more time.
You must be sensitive not to discard the man carrying your favour. God will not write it on the forehead of the man. You must be careful how you deal with people especially in your life moments so that you do not disregard your helper because you are weary. Men are the hands of God (Psa. 17 :14). The appearance of Jesus that day turned the story of disappointment to a story of eternal appointment.
Child of God, if you are a person that has no regard for people, you will be limited in the world of favour, because favour is a man. God reaches out to people and change their experience of labour to favour through a man (men).
To have a bad character is to close the door of favour. Be kind to people, because the man carrying your favour may come to you with a seeming need. Jesus needed Peter’s boat to preach which he willingly gave to him and that was his passport to favour. Also, he was sensitive to the grace on Jesus, and called Him, “Master”. Please be courteous and polite in your words.
Humility leads to honour. May God grant you understanding.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me to adjust to this counsel and live in the world of divine favour.
