OFM RHEMA FOR LIVING DAILY DEVOTIONAL

Rhema For Living 19 March 2023 OFM Devotional From The Desk of God’s Servant, Rev. (Dr.) Lizzy Johnson-Suleman. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

TOPIC: Though Meant For Evil (2)

DAILY BIBLE READING: Judges 16-18

TEXT: “But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive”. Genesis 50 :20.

The adversaries of divine destinies (the righteous) never relent in plotting evil against them, but no matter how many times they plot, there is an unending master programme for all things to work in the favour of the righteous. That is why the righteous should not entertain fear in any way but rather be confident trusting God bring them out victoriously out of every evil.

They are to hold on to the promises of God declaring them in every circumstance of life to facilitate their fulfillment. In the book of Esther, there was an adversary whose name was Haman, very determined to end the existence of Mordecai a Jew. Despite Mordecai was a gate keeper and he a highly placed man in government, the destiny of Mordecai was a threat to him.

His destiny as a child of God with a stand for the covenant made him (Haman) to want to end him to keep him out of the way. There was a seat of glory meant for Mordecai which Haman wants to keep enjoying. He knows so long Mordecai was alive that seat is not certain. For life. So he decided evil o take his life along side the entire Jews.

He had all in his favour including the king, who is the highest man in the land, and he had made a decree to that effect against Mordecai and the Jews. But the divine programme of God for the righteous does not permit them to be tempted above that which they are able to bear, and in that same temptation He makes a way of escape, so that it turns out for their good.

Knowing the will of God for His people, Esther, Mordecai and the entire Jews engaged in a fast and prayed and Esther went in to the king and all things worked together for their good while the evil backfired on Haman (Est. 7 :10; 8 :15 – 17).

PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, let all things work for my good.
