The Presence of the Lord

TEXT: “And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?” Mark 4 :37 – 38.

In whatever journey you embark on in life whether Marital, ministerial, academic, financial etc. ensure the Lord goes with you. The presence of God is very essential in determining the experience and outcome of that journey. By strength shall no man prevail (1 Sam. 2 :9). We live in a wicked world that to attempt to fulfill destiny in the energy of the flesh without the presence of God backing you is to delete your name from those with a voice, or even from among the living.
Storms of life are in various categories. There are storms of life that can knock off a man to his early grave because he is empty without the presence of God. That is why you must give attention to whatever it takes to carry the presence of God. Then, the physical presence of Jesus was with them while He was on earth, but after the resurrection, His Spirit is with us. When you carry the Holy Ghost, you carry power. You have authority. You are quickened and energized.
You are confident because you are not alone. No wonder Romans 8 :11; says, “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” When you carry the Holy Ghost, He leads you and you operate in your office as a Son of God. “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” (Rom. 8 :14).
In the scenario of our anchor text, the saving grace of the disciples in the shop when a great storm of wind and waves beat into the ship was Jesus with them in the ship. If they had been into the shop was Jesus with them in the shop. If they had been along, with that fearful nature of theirs, they would have perished.
Child of God, lose not the presence of God. Grieve not the Spirit; without Him, you can do nothing. John 15 :15.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, I desire Your presence Lord.
