It Takes Dying

TEXT: “And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone”. – John 12 :23 – 24.

Child of God, in our opening text, Jesus revealed that the hour for glorification had come; but gave a condition for the glorification. He said, except a corn of wheat falls to the ground and dies. Meaning, there is a relationship between death and glory. Not until you are dead to yourself, you cannot carry God’s glory. The condition for carrying this glory is to die to your ambition, will, decision and opinions. No living thing carries the glory of God.
Little wonder Paul would have us know he died daily (1 Cor. 15 :31). Not until you are ready to function in the realms of Galatians 2:20, you are not ready to carry God’s grace and glory. It is the realm where the life of Christ now becomes the life by which you function. Paul said, “…I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I nor live in the flesh I live by the faith of her son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me”.
The glory gives life that causes to live, but before that happens, you must first like Paul be crucified with Christ. And that entails divorcing yourself from every personal will ambition and agenda and picking up that of the master.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray now, help me to die to my will and be alive to your will.
