Rhema For Living 13 September 2022 MESSAGE

In continuation with our series on “The beauty of righteousness”, the next verse says, “And thou shalt be secured, because there is hope: yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety” vs 18.

Righteousness commands divine security because God is committed to the safety of the righteous that walks according to His command as He promised in His word. No wonder Abraham asked the LORD when He wanted to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah if He would destroy the righteous with the wicked? And through the various numbers of the righteous, he stated which were from fifty to ten; God said he would not destroy the land for their sake (Gen. 18:23-33).

God does not go against His word. He is committed to the safety and the preservation of the righteous. For their sake, He even extends His preservation to those who concern them. When He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, He remembered Abraham and sent Lot out of the midst of it Gen. 19:29. Rhema For Living 13 September 2022

The righteous therefore have hope of a sure and expected end despite the calamities around because he is secured in the unfailing promises of God. Therefore, he can dig into himself, have investments and take his test in safety guaranteed by God. Psalms 37:37 says, “Mark the perfect man and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace”. Righteousness builds a hedge of divine safety around him and all he has.

Truly as Peter stated in Acts 10:34-35, God is no respecter of persons but in every nation, he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness is accepted with Him. And He goes all out to defend them.

PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me Lord to uphold righteousness.
