Topic: The Creative Word Of God

      Read: John 1:1-3

      1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

      2. The same was in the beginning with God.

      3. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

      Memorise
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:1

RCCG Open Heaven 10 September 2021 Message

There is power in the word of God. The word of God has creative power. The power in the word of God created space where there seemed to be none, according to our Bible reading for today. The word of God will always make a way where there is no way and a space where there is no space. When the Israelites got to the Red Sea and it seemed that they were shut between it and the hosts of Pharaoh, the Lord spoke through Moses that they should move on. It takes faith in God to obey such a command, but thank God they did and their obedience paid off because the word made an expressway in the sea for them to pass through. Exodus 14:15-16 says:

“And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? Speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the mist of the sea.”

Another lesson we should learn here is that we should always talk to God about our challenges. Moses did this effectively and every time he did, God spoke. This made Moses a problem-solver because he always heard from God. Also, when God speaks, it is done. All that is required for the ultimate manifestation is for us to take the necessary action in obedience to His word. My life is a testimony of the power in the word of God.

The word of God has increased my faith in the past and is still doing so. It was the word which came to me during a family devotion that strengthened me when we were trusting God for our first natural birth. Indeed, it came through one of the children as we were considering the miracle of the parting of the Red Sea when the power of God made a way where there was none. The Bible says in Exodus 14:16

“But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it”

It was Moses who divided the sea under the influence of Gods word. The word had established it ahead:

“…and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.”

The children of God moved forward in faith and it came to pass. We must be both hearers and doers of the word (James 1:22 ,25). My prayer for you is that, as you obey the word of God, you will begin to do the impossible, in Jesus name.

      Key Point
Examine your life and see if there are ways in which you have not been heeding Gods word. Repent so that
you may begin to live in the supernatural from now.

      Bible in One Year
      Luke 7:1-50 , Luke 8:1-56

      Hymns
ALL HAIL THE POWER OF JESUS NAME!

      1. All hail the power of Jesus Name!
        Let angels prostrate fall;
        Bring forth the royal diadem,
and crown Him Lord of all.
        Bring forth the royal diadem,
and crown Him Lord of all.

      2. Let highborn seraphs tune the lyre,
and as they tune it, fall
Before His face Who tunes their choir,
and crown Him Lord of all.
Before His face Who tunes their choir,
and crown Him Lord of all.

      3. Crown Him, ye morning stars of light,
        Who fixed this floating ball;
Now hail the strength of Israels might,
and crown Him Lord of all.
Now hail the strength of Israels might,
and crown Him Lord of all.

      4. Crown Him, ye martyrs of your God,
        who from His altar call;
Extol the Stem of Jesses Rod,
and crown Him Lord of all.
Extol the Stem of Jesses Rod,
and crown Him Lord of all.

      5. Ye seed of Israels chosen race,
        ye ransomed from the fall,
Hail Him Who saves you by His grace,
and crown Him Lord of all.
Hail Him Who saves you by His grace,
and crown Him Lord of all.

      6. Hail Him, ye heirs of Davids line,
        Whom David Lord did call,
        The God incarnate, Man divine,
and crown Him Lord of all,
        The God incarnate, Man divine,
and crown Him Lord of all.

      7. Sinners, whose love can neer forget
        the wormwood and the gall,
Go spread your trophies at His feet,
and crown Him Lord of all.
Go spread your trophies at His feet,
and crown Him Lord of all.

      8. Let every tribe and every tongue
        before Him prostrate fall
        And shout in universal song
        the crownd Lord of all.
        And shout in universal song
        the crownd Lord of all.
