MEMORY VERSE:
“And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of LORD: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city of forsake” Isaiah 62:12
BIBLE TEXT: Isaiah 62:1-12
LESSON INTRODUCTION: Jerusalem was supposed to be the place of which nation would say, “Come, let go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways,so that we may walk in His paths” Isaiah 2:3. But as at the time of prophesy was given by Isaiah, Jerusalem was no longer the city sought after as in the days of Solomon when queen sheba came all the way to prophesy was later given in Isaiah 62:1-12 that, just as Jerusalem, having been despoiled of her beauty by her enemies, and for a long time was forsaken and unworthy to be called a city desired to be visited by men, her glory shall return and shall be attraction to all lands, and the joyful of the whole earths; no longer given up to the invasion of the enemy. That is what the Lord promised, that she shall be sought, that is, a special object of God’s care and a city not forsake, the very opposite of her former name which was “forsaken”.
GOD NEVER ABANDONS HIS FAITHFUL SERVANTS.
1. PSALMS 37:25 says “I have been young, and now am old; yet have
I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging for bread.”
2. HEBREWS 13:5b says”for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee ”
3. JOSHUA 1:5 “There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all days of thy life as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”
4. PSALMS 37:28 ” For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh nor his saint; they preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.”

CONCLUSION: God never forsake His people, He ne er leave us to fight alone and He never abandone us Isaiah 62:12 “And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of LORD: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city of not forsaken. “Here, the prophet is saying that when the end of this world age draws to a close , those who are strong in God’s truth will be sought out. Just as Paul was and even as Jesus was.
