The coming of Christ Jesus is near. All of the signs prophesied in scriptures are beginning to be seen all over the world. One of the things that makes you a believer is the fact that you believe in this. Jesus Christ is returning to take His bride with Him.

This is a fact that we must stay aware of and consciously remind ourselves of regularly to avoid being like the foolish virgins who slept off and were caught unawares when the bridegroom returned.

It is no news that believers must remain aware of and prepare for the second coming of Christ Jesus but are many believers aware of the practical ways to do this?

Today, were sharing 5 practical things you should do to help you stay prepared for the second coming of Christ.

1. PRAY

“Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26:41‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Prayer is a powerful tool for every believer in Christ. It is a means of communication with God, establishing dominion on earth, and aligning yourself with God’s Will and His Word.
There is no time when prayer has been more needed than now. We live in perilous times but we are not surprised or taken aback by the events occurring because we know that these are the things that predate the second coming of Jesus Christ. Believers must stay in the place of prayer and be fervent as we await the coming of our Lord.

2. BIBLE STUDY

“Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.”‭‭ Matthew‬ ‭22:29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Word of God contains all the reminder we need about the end times and the second coming. Every believer must make it their duty to study their Bibles for themselves with the help of the Holy Spirit. The Bible contains the Word of God that teaches us to be righteous and live holy lives for God. Scriptures also contain of the keys believers need to live in these perilous times and the weapons of victory that we have to fight the schemes of the enemy in these times.

3. GO TO CHURCH

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Bible encourages us not to forsake the gathering of believers. When you’re constantly amongst brethren in Christ, your faith is consistently built and the shepherd over the church will teach you the Word of God and guide you on how to live worthy of your calling in Christ. Going to church is really important but it must never take the place of your personal prayer and Bible study time.

4. EVANGELIZE

“From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”‭‭ Matthew‬ ‭4:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

While we prepare and await the second coming of Jesus, we must consider other people who are yet to come into the knowledge of Christ. The Bible says heaven rejoices when a sinner repents. As a child of God, this should also be your passion. The passion for souls should move you to evangelize to Unbelievers and everyone who desperately needs to come to Jesus Christ.

5. BE WATCHFUL

The world as we know it is coming to an end and this is proven by the different awful events that are occurring in the world. Many ungodly and despicable practices have become the other of the day and are even nationally accepted.

Believers must be watchful and not be unaware of the devices of the enemy that are being sent into the world daily. We must hold fast to the Word of God and hold it higher than any trend or invention.

Lastly, we must remain firmly rooted in doing the work of God because Christ has assured us that He is returning with rewards.
