Prayer of the Day – The God Who Carries Me
Gracious and Everlasting God,
Thank You for the promise in Isaiah 46:4—that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. You are the One who made me, who knows me, and who has pledged to carry me through every season of life. In moments of strength and moments of weakness, You are there. Even as time passes and I face changes, You remain faithful and unchanging.
Lord, I lift my heart to You this morning with deep gratitude. You have carried me through past trials and sustained me through seasons I didn’t think I could survive. When my strength has failed, Yours has never faltered. When I have been uncertain, You have been my constant. I rest in the assurance that I am not alone and never will be.
Father, I need Your sustaining power today. Whether I feel tired in body, weary in mind, or burdened in spirit, I lay it all before You. You have promised not only to walk beside me, but to carry me. So I surrender my worries, fears, and pressures into Your hands. Remind me that I don’t have to hold everything together—You are holding me.
You are not a distant or passive God. You are near. You are personal. You are involved in every detail of my life. Help me trust in Your timing and lean on Your wisdom. Let my faith deepen, knowing that You who began a good work in me will be faithful to complete it, no matter my age, my stage, or my strength.
Lord, for those I know who are aging, struggling, or walking through hardship, I lift them up to You now. May they also feel Your arms around them. Let Your promise in Isaiah 46:4 speak directly to their hearts: that You will carry, sustain, and rescue them. Be their comfort, their rock, and their unfailing hope.
As I move through this day, help me to rely less on myself and more on You. Let me move not in fear or self-reliance, but with peace and trust in the One who carries me. With each step I take, remind me that Your grace is enough, Your strength is sufficient, and Your presence is sure.
In Jesus’ strong and faithful name I pray,
Amen.
