Dear Friends,
Let’s be honest. At times, it can be very difficult to love one another. We all come from different backgrounds; we all have different personalities, likes, and dislikes. We also are at different levels in regards to our walk with the Lord. At times, all these differences can lead to frustration and even bitterness among brothers and sisters in Christ.
Yet, God has called us to love one another with a sincere, fervent, brotherly and agape kind of love. This love is founded on our love for Jesus and leads us to sacrificially serve one another. How can we do this? Despite our differences, we can walk in love when we remember that we have been made holy through Christ. Remember that the same brothers and sisters in Christ we may have a difficult time with now will be in heaven with us as we praise God for His goodness and grace. When we enter into eternity we will not be holding on to grudges or unforgiveness; instead, we will be so overwhelmed with God that we will rejoice alongside our brothers and sisters. With that in mind, let’s start loving and forgiving now so that we can have a taste of Heaven on earth.
Life Lesson:
You’re going to live for eternity with your brothers and sisters in Christ, so learn to love them now.
Dear God,
Thank You for the church. The body of Christ is a beautiful thing, and I am thankful for the brothers and sisters I have through Jesus. Help me to walk in love and grace with each and every one. Remind me often of heavenly things so that this world does not keep me down. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
