TOPIC: End To Fruitlessness
MEMORISE: And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein. Genesis 9:7
READ: Leviticus 26:3-4
[3]If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;
[4]Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
MESSAGE: Imagine if there is a drought in the land, all living things will die, and this will lead to fruitlessness. Fruitlessness in the Bible is not just about the inability to bear children: it is when you lack essential things in life. A Christian can be barren in all areas if he/she cannot bear good fruits in Christian service.
From the text, we see that God’s initial plan for all mankind is to be fruitful in every way; all we have to do is obey Him. As a child of God, if you keep failing in your studies, you are not fruitful academically. If you are serving God, and there’s no soul to show for it, you are not fruitful spiritually.
Only God’s blessings can put an end to fruitlessness, and until you are genuinely saved, His promises will not come to pass in your life. God loves a fruitful tree, so if you are fruitful, you will become God’s favourite. He created you, and He expects you to keep on reproducing, that is, bringing more souls to Him, which is your Christian service.
PRAYER POINT: Father, put an end to fruitlessness in my life in Jesus’ name
