Open Heaven for Teens 30th May 2021 Devotional MESSAGE
A tree is known by its fruits. This means that the quality of a tree is known not by its appearance but by the quality of the fruits it produces.
Many young people fall victim of false prophets and teachers who deceive them through prophecies, speaking in tongues and miraculous performances. They forget that even Satan can transform into an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14) and anyone can become his prey if you don’t have the Spirit of God.
Satan can imitate spiritual gifts but not the fruit of the Spirit because the fruit grows in you by the help of the Holy Spirit. Thus, any Christian who lies, cheats, steals, fornicates etcetera, irrespective of how close to God he or she may claim to be, is not a child of God.
The only way to identify a true child of God is when he or she exhibits the fruit of the Spirit daily as stated in Galatians 5:22-23 which says:
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”
PRAYER POINT: Spot the fruit you lack and ask the Holy Spirit for help today.
