TOPIC: The Reconciler
READ: Colossians 1:21-23
- And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
-
In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
-
If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
MEMORISE: Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Romans 5:9
When Adam and Eve fell in the Garden of Eden, mankind fell and became alienated from the Lord but thank God for Jesus. His death brought mankind pardon. Thus, when a fellow accepts the love of Jesus, he/she becomes born again and reconciled to God.
He/she is seen as holy, sinless and blameless. He/she also enjoys a swift translation from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of God. It is however sad that many people still reject this change or offer of reconciliation despite God’s desire that all men should be saved. They think they know better than to be restricted by holiness.
They believe that holiness is unnecessary and the second coming of Christ is of no priority to them. Are you one of the people to whom the love of God and death of Christ mean nothing? I advise that you turn a new leaf right now so that you will stop being an enemy of God. If you know you are reconciled with God already, thank Him for this privilege and be determined to stay in the faith.
PRAYER POINT: Lord Jesus, thank You for reconciling me to God. Please, do the same for all my family members who are not yet saved.
