TODAY’S MESSAGE
Character is important in shaping who you are and how you behave. It is defined as the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual. A fellow with a good character is noted for honesty, respect, and charity. A lack of good character leads to moral decadence. Your character is influenced by the choices you make, and it isn’t just developed in a day; it takes a conscious and gradual process.
As a child of God, you are a representative of Christ here on earth; therefore, you must be like Christ. You can develop a good character by controlling your thoughts, practicing Christian virtues, guarding your heart, reading the word of God, and keeping good company (1 Corinthians 15:33). The character of a child of God must reflect love, honesty, respect for people, obedience to God and man, kindness, humility, boldness, et cetera.
